Release Day Blitz & Giveaway: You Loved Me at My Ugliest [You Loved Me 03] by Evie Harper!

She’s no stranger to love and loss…

By age eighteen, Alexa Kingsley had lost everyone. Only Joey, the lonely boy next door, remained. He’d clung to Alexa like a lifeline through years of abuse at the hands of his father, and she vowed to protect him as best she could. Alexa thought Joey was the one person who’d always be there—until the day he left her as well. Finally forced to go it alone, Alexa finds this latest loss may hurt worst of all.

He’s no stranger to lack of love…

Joseph O’Connor was every bit the villain his father trained him to be, his young heart twisted into something ugly, corrupted. But his father underestimated the girl next door, miscalculated the impact Lexi would have on Joey’s life, the spark she ignited that eventually, despite all odds, grew to an inferno of hope. To reclaim her, Joey must first become a man Lexi can be proud of…the kind of man she deserves.

Amidst a shadowy world of guns and drugs, will Joey’s ultimate sacrifice—a declaration of love from a man who was never shown any at all—be enough to finally set him free?

Re-Release Blitz: Wait For Me by Alexis Noelle!

I’ve never been one for relationships and commitment. I get what I needed from girls but that’s where it ends. At least that was how it is supposed to be. Until that one night with Nicole changed everything. She is the only girl who has ever made me want more, and I hate it.

I have wanted more of Jason since the one night that we spent together. He has occupied my every dream and invaded my every though. He just needs to let me in and stop fighting it so much. I’m determined to show him exactly what he is missing. I’ll wait for him, but not forever.

What do you do when your whole world is turned upside down? When everything comes crumbling down around you, will you have the will to fight and break down the wall?

Wait For Me was originally Breaking Through The Wall and part of the Guarded Hearts Series. The story has been changed a bit and re-edited to make it a standalone novel.

**Wait For Me is for mature audiences only—strong language, and explicit sexual content are apparent.**

I tell Jason that he will be on his own the rest of the day. I am going to go to the mall and do some shopping.
   “Can I come?”
He wants to go shopping with me? “Um…I guess, if you want to.”
We get dressed and head off to the mall. My purpose for coming today isn’t really because I need anything. However, my dad gave me a monthly credit card allowance, so I might as well put it to good use. I decide that maybe I will have some fun playing dress up for Jason today.
I take him into one of my favorite stores and have him sit on the chair outside of the dressing room. The first dress I try on is a short black one. It is strapless and looks pretty modest from the front, but when I turn around, the back of the dress dips into a V that stops just above my butt. When I turn around and look back, his face is priceless. This is definitely going to be fun.
I am trying on about my sixth dress, when the curtain to the changing room is pulled back. Jason walks in and immediately closes it back behind him. He closes the short distance between us and has me backed against the wall of the room. “J, What are you doing in here?!” I whisper at him, completely in shock that he is here. I only have the next dress halfway up my body right now, so my breasts are completely exposed.
“I can’t watch you walk out there in one more of those dresses. I need you now, I can’t wait.”
“Jason, I don’t think—” Before I can finish my sentence, he crashes his mouth against mine, and starts to slip off the remainder of the dress I had been trying on.

Author bio:

Ginger Voight is a screenwriter and bestselling author with over twenty published titles in fiction and nonfiction. She covers everything from travel to politics in nonfiction, as well as romance, paranormal, and dark, “ripped from the headlines” topics like Dirty Little Secrets.

Ginger discovered her love for writing in sixth grade, courtesy of a Halloween assignment. From then on, writing became a place of solace, reflection, and security. This was never more true than when she found herself homeless in L.A. at the age of nineteen. There, she wrote her first novel, longhand on notebook paper, while living out of her car.

In 1995, after she lost her nine-day-old son, she worked through her grief by writing the story that would eventually become The Fullerton Family Saga.

In 2011, she embarked on a new journey–to publish romance novels starring heroines who look more like the average American woman. These “Rubenesque” romances have developed a following thanks to her bestselling Groupie series. Other titles, such as the highly-rated New Adult series, Fierce, tap into the “reality-TV” preoccupation in American entertainment, which gives her contemporary stories a current, pop culture edge.

Known for writing gut-twisting angst, Ginger isn’t afraid to push the envelope with characters who are perfectly imperfect. Whether rich, poor, sweet, selfish, gay, straight, plus-size or svelte, her characters are beautifully flawed and three-dimensional. They populate her lavish fictional landscapes and teach us more about the real world in which we live simply through their interactions with each other. Ginger’s goal with every book is to give the reader a little bit more than they were expecting, told through stories they’ll never forget.

UK Blog Tour: Redemption Road by Lisa Ballantyne!

Publication date: 16th July 2015
Paperback edition: 448 pages
Source: Kindle
Rating: 4 stars
Synopsis:
The crash is the unravelling of Margaret Holloway. Trapped inside a car about to explode, she is rescued by a scarred stranger who then disappears. Margaret remembers little, but she's spent her life remembering little - her childhood is full of holes and forgotten memories. And now she has a burning desire to discover who she is, why her life has been shrouded in secrets, and if it has anything to do with the mysterious man who saved her life.

In a thriller that flits effortlessly between past and present, this is a harsh, gritty yet ultimately uplifting journey of an estranged father and daughter, exploring the strength of family ties and our huge capacity for forgiveness.

I'll be honest and say that I hadn't heard of this author until I received a surprise package from Little, Brown Book Group with this book in it! This book isn't my typical genre of book, but I was then asked to be on the UK Blog Tour and I said yes to a review! I probably wouldn't have read this book if I hadn't been sent it by the publisher, but I'm really glad I was! It's always good to step outside your comfort zone every once in a while and I certainly did with this book! This author also lives like an hour away from where I do, which I find insanely cool lol! I'm really happy I was sent this book! I enjoyed it a lot more than I was expecting too and I actually had a hard time putting it down because the plot had a lot in it! I'll admit that I was a little confused at the start with the different point of views, but I was quickly able to understand everything and see how everything connected! The plot was also developed at a really nice pace! I thought that it would take me a while to get through it, but it didn't! I really enjoyed It! The characters were also very diverse and made the plot for me! I would say that Margaret was the main character in this book, even though it was written from a few different point of views! I really liked Margaret! She was a strong-willed character that stuck her ground when she had an opinion and she stood up for what she believed in! She was also easy to connect with and she had a loving family that supported her! Margaret went through a lot in this book though, and she discovered a lot about her childhood and her life that she didn't know about! This made me feel sorry for her because she was kept in the dark! As I said, this book was written from a few different point of views, which confused me a little to start off with because I wasn't sure who the other characters were and how everything connected, but it started to come together quickly and I was able to see how a lot of it connected and how all three characters were entwined and how they all met and were involved with the plot! There were still some connections that gradually came out as the book progressed though! I did enjoy the different point of views as they added a lot to the plot's development and it was kinda cool how everything came together! I also normally don't like reading books from more than two different point of views, but this book was written from about four lol! I can completely understand why this book is a standalone! Everything was wrapped up and it all connected by the end! I also know that this author has another book out that's been highly praised, so I'm definitely going to be checking that one out and seeing if it's my kind of thing! The cover for this book is so pretty and suits the book really well! I've seen several covers floating around for it, and I'm actually a big fan of all the covers I've seen! The cover below is the front cover of the paperback I received and I love it! Big thank you to Piatkus for an early review copy of Redemption Road and for having me on the UK Blog Tour!

Release Blitz & Giveaway: The Reason I Breathe [Bite & Release 02] by Cory Cyr!

I waited my entire life for one singular moment.
Everything I had endured—all the pain and suffering—I would go through it all again,
if I knew she waiting for me.

Ryan Chase was the only woman I ever loved.
My obsession. My desire.

When she came home . . . loving her hadn't been easy.
The road to our particular happiness was paved with boulders.
I became whom she needed me to be. Whom she wanted.
Marriage and children— they were a dream we both shared.
Until a nightmare threatened to take it all away.

Is love supposed to be this hard?
How long before the person I'm pretending to be begins to crack?
I'm a liar. A fraud.
He is surfacing.

She's the only reason I survived. I lived.
She is the reason I breathe.
Now, when she needs me the most—I'm transforming into the person
I thought I'd buried years before.

I can't be without her. She gives me purpose and makes me whole.
Nevertheless, the universe chose a different route. God had a different plan.
And right now, I'm pissed at them both.

**Strong Language**Explicit Sex**Intense situations

UK Blog Tour: Tracer by Rob Boffard‏!

Guest Post with Rob Boffard!

'Why did you decide to write a book based in space? How did you come up with the idea for Tracer?'

We have a lot of misconceptions about space.

If you don’t believe me, try and explain what would happen to a human body that lands up in space without a spacesuit. No, you don’t die immediately. No, you don’t freeze solid. No, your entire body doesn’t explode. In fact, assuming you aren’t holding your breath when your spacesuit magically dematerialises around you, you could stay conscious for up to fifteen seconds -- and alive for up to two minutes - before you’re well and truly screwed.

Now try and think about how spaceships manoeuvre. Specifically, think about space battles between, let us say, a fleet of X-Wings and a squadron of Tie Fighters. All that swooping and swerving and dodging laser fire? See, that wouldn’t really be able to happen. Objects in zero gravity don’t move like that. Space battles would, in reality, be extremely slow.

I’m not saying all this stuff to be a party pooper, or to say I know more than anyone else (quite the opposite, in fact). To me, this makes space more exciting, not less. When I was a kid, I went through a long period of being completely obsessed with space. I was the dude in the playground telling everybody that objects didn’t actually orbit the Earth but just went into a kind of controlled fall that never hit the ground. On a related note, that was probably why I got beaten up a lot, but the point is that I loved knowing how space worked.

When I first started dicking around with writing a novel, there was never any doubt about where it was going to be set. Not for a second. I knew it was going to go down in space long before I wrote a single word. All I had to do was add wrinkles.

Like a really, really big space station. Like a population that’s been up there for a hundred years. Like a horrific threat which might just wipe them all out.

Because that’s the thing about space. Just because you know how it works doesn’t mean it’s any less terrifying.

IN SPACE

EVERY. SECOND. COUNTS.

Our planet is in ruins. Three hundred miles above its scarred surface orbits Outer Earth: a space station with a million souls on board. They are all that remain of the human race.

Darnell is the head of the station's biotech lab. He's also a man with dark secrets. And he has ambitions for Outer Earth that no one will see coming.

Prakesh is a scientist, and he has no idea what his boss Darnell is capable of. He'll have to move fast if he doesn't want to end up dead.

And then there's Riley. She's a tracer - a courier. For her, speed is everything. But with her latest cargo, she's taken on more than she bargained for.

A chilling conspiracy connects them all.

The countdown has begun for Outer Earth - and for mankind.
